On this self-guided audio tour around Rotterdam, your adventure begins next to the Maritime Museum. From here, you'll walk towards Het Lage Licht, a charming lighthouse that once served as a beacon for ships navigating through the bustling Rotterdam Harbour.
As you stroll along the pier, you'll learn about the history of Wijnhaven. This centuries-old dock was given a new lease of life following the Second World War and is now home to several historic ships.
Next, you'll explore the distinctive neighbourhood of Noordereiland. This area came into existence in the nineteenth century when the Koningshaven was carved straight through the Kop van Zuid. You'll see the architectural splendour of Wilhelmina Pier, which once served as the home port of the Holland America Line. Your tour ends at Katendrecht, a neighbourhood linked with Wilhelmina Pier by a pedestrian and bicycle bridge.
