About Formentera
Formentera is the smallest inhabited island in the Balearic Archipelago (Spain). It is located south of the island of Ibiza. Every year the island attracts numerous tourists eager to enjoy its beautiful beaches, famous for its white fine sand and wonderful crystal clear waters. In the island's hinterland you can also see small villages, lighthouses, towers, mills, lakes, salt mines, caves and hidden caverns. You can also stroll through charming juniper and pine forests, creating a counterpoint with the island's highly peculiar dunes and rocks. Formentera has a 69-kilometer coastline and more than 2800 hours of sunshine per year! Some of its most famous beaches are: Cala Saona, Ses Illetes (located in the Salinas Natural Park) and Els Arenals.
