The Humpback Whale season in the Dominican Republic is at its peak from January till the end of March!
Besides the classic itinerary, this tour doesn’t reach the area of Samana so you won’t visit Bacardi Island (Cayo Levantado) neither the waterfall El Limon. On the other hand, you will have the chance to enjoy some snorkeling and visit the virgin natural pool of Miches, home of many starfishes. This tour is a shorter version of the whale watching tour taking place in Samana and is recommended for those who don't want to spend the whole day off the resort. Itinerary
06:15 – 07:15 Pick up at the different hotels
07:30 Departure to Miches
08:15 Arrival at our private dock in Miches
08:15 – 08:40 Breakfast Time (sandwiches of ham, cheese, tuna, eggs plus the typical island cake(coconete), seasonal juices, coffee, tea)
08:45 Boarding to start our journey to the sanctuary of the humpback whales in Miches
9:00 – 11:00 Time to locate the whales in the sanctuary and sighting them for 45 minutes
11:30 Visit to the natural pool of Miches, house of the giant starfishes, and snorkeling activity
13:00 Return to our private dock and departure for the hotels in Bávaro – Punta Cana
14:30 Arrival at the different hotels in Punta Cana

- Pregnant women can not participate in this tour.
- This tour is not indicated for people who suffer or could suffer of motion sickness.
IMPORTANT: Please be aware that whale watching is a spectacle of nature. We cannot guarantee if and how many whales you will see during your trip (In case that we are unable to watch the whales within this time frame, a second trip by boat will be arranged to ensure whale watching).
