Explore Portugal’s maritime heritage with a visit to the World of Discoveries in Porto. This immersive attraction brings the Age of Discovery to life through interactive exhibits, multimedia experiences and themed installations that reveal the stories behind some of the most famous voyages.
Journey through 20 permanent exhibition areas and learn how Portuguese navigators helped open new sea routes. Discover more about explorers such as Ferdinand Magellan, Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias, whose expeditions expanded geographical knowledge and transformed global trade and communication.
Through engaging multi-sensory displays, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the discoveries that encouraged the exchange of people, plants, animals and ideas across continents, helping to usher in a new era of globalisation.

- Food and drinks are not permitted inside the exhibition areas
Know in advance:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Please note that there may be a queue to board the boat
- From Tuesday to Friday, the last entrance is at 5.30PM On weekends and holidays, the last entry is at 6.30PM
