Your culinary journey traces the story of migration and creativity in the Mission District, savouring a tale told through six tastings, one plate at a time.

Your adventure begins at a well-established taqueria, where you'll sample the Mission-style burrito, an original San Francisco delight. Next, you'll relish quesabirria, a slow-cooked delicacy served with consomé for dipping. A visit to a neighbourhood bakery, boasting 65 years of history, offers freshly baked pan dulce, followed by mariquitas—Cuba's crispy plantain chip snack that vividly showcases the Mission's Latino roots.

The tour culminates at a local bean-to-bar chocolate producer for a rich, small-batch finale, along with a surprise dish unveiled only on the day. As you meander through the route, murals depicting decades of Irish, German, Italian and Latino history are etched into the same blocks. This stroll will reveal how each wave of residents has left its gastronomic imprint on the neighbourhood.
